In accordance with Decision No. 1665/QD-TTg dated October 30, 2017, approving the Project "Supporting Students in Startup until 2025", on the afternoon of April 22nd, at Hon Gai High School, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) collaborated with the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture to organize the workshop named: "Startup Journey from High School".
At the workshop, experienced speakers in education and entrepreneurship from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture and the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam shared topics on entrepreneurship experience, entrepreneurial activities, the Technology Knowledge and Creative Entrepreneurship exam of the Academy, and discussions on the demand for human resources in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The event, organized by the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture in 26 provinces and cities in the Northern region, aimed to equip high school students with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills; identify and nurture students passionate about science and technology; and inspire entrepreneurial spirit and aspirations among young people.
Vietnam Academy of Agriculture is a prestigious, multi-disciplinary training institution that meets international training standards. The academy offers various fields of study such as Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry, Aquaculture, High-Tech Agriculture, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Logistics, Investment Economics, Accounting, Law, and is a pioneer in entrepreneurial competitions. From 2014 to present, the academy has organized 8 agricultural entrepreneurship competitions, attracting 1,250 participating projects from hundreds of universities, colleges, high schools, and localities. Among them, students from the academy have won 5 first prizes in the National Entrepreneurship Competition and numerous other awards. Particularly, many ideas and projects have developed into enterprises that have a prominent position in the youth entrepreneurship community and have made significant contributions to society.
The academy allocates nearly 30 billion VND per year to provide scholarships to students with academic and extracurricular achievements of at least a good grade. Additionally, the academy collaborates with over 100 enterprises to provide nearly 2 billion VND per year in scholarships to support talented students and students facing difficult circumstances in life. In recent years, the employment rate of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture students within 12 months after graduation has exceeded 97%. |
